SCSFFS Members:

As you may have heard… we are not holding festival this year. The board took a vote at the July board meeting. The question "Should we cancel festival this year?". The vote went like this… 5 no, 1 yes, 1 abstained and 2 no shows. This came about for 2 reasons. 1: We did not meet the qualifications for the tax status. 2: Not enough volunteers. Now what we mean specifically, some of you may or may not know but this festival is run from Thursday evening through Sunday Evening. We get a majority of volunteers on Saturday from 12-5 pm give or take a few minutes. That is not enough coverage for the entire weekend.

However, please don't think of this as the end! There are many, many festivals!!! There is always next year! If you have any additional questions please ask at the next general meeting.

T-Shirt News

Hooray! We will have shirts available for NTC? Barb and Roy will be making a sampling of 8 grey with black lettering and 8 black with white lettering. These will be L-XL-XXL and XXXL, two of each in each color. There will be Polo's and T-shirts.

For those wanting an embroidered logo without the website on the back, talk to Barb at the convention. They are only a dollar more but there is a large one time charge for setting up the disc.There would have to be a lot of interest to pay for this.

The shirts and book bags will have the Space Man logo on the left breast and the website on the back.
